For IT managers at companies of 50 to 500 people who are budgeting JumpCloud for 2027, leaving a trial or a legacy free account, or preparing a renewal.
JumpCloud's public prices start at $9 per user per month for Device Management, $11 for SSO and $13 for Device Identity Management, billed annually, and $2 more on monthly billing. Platform Essentials, Platform and Platform Prime are sold on quote only. New accounts get a 30-day trial, not a free plan: JumpCloud keeps free use for up to 10 users and 10 devices for accounts created before February 1, 2024. Covering both apps and devices with the two self-serve products costs $20 per user per month on annual billing, before premium support. MSPs looking for multi-tenant pricing should go through JumpCloud's partner program, which this page does not cover.

How much does JumpCloud cost in 2027?
JumpCloud has not published separate 2027 prices, so the price list in force on 29 September 2026 is the one to budget with. It has three self-serve products with public per-user prices, three packages sold through sales, and 19 individual features that can be bought à la carte.
JumpCloud is a cloud directory platform that manages user identities, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA) and devices from one console. It uses per-user pricing, billed per user per month, with a toggle between annual and monthly billing that JumpCloud advertises as "Save up to 18%".
| Product or package | Billed annually | Billed monthly | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Device Management | $9 per user/month | $11 per user/month | Mobile device management (MDM), patch management, remote access, system insights |
| SSO | $11 per user/month | $13 per user/month | Cloud directory, SSO, MFA, user lifecycle, password manager |
| Device Identity Management | $13 per user/month | $15 per user/month | Device management plus identity management and MFA for devices |
| Platform Essentials | Contact sales | Not published | Identity, devices, SSO and passwordless login; 300 users maximum |
| Platform | Contact sales | Not published | Adds Cloud LDAP, Cloud RADIUS and remote access |
| Platform Prime | Contact sales | Not published | Adds Zero Trust, AI and SaaS management, premium support |
| Premium support (add-on) | $2 per user/month | $3 per user/month | 24/7 support; included in Platform Prime |

What do the quote-only packages include?
The three packages bundle identity and devices, which the self-serve products keep apart.
- Platform Essentials combines cloud directory, SSO, MFA, device management and passwordless authentication (JumpCloud Go), but it drops Remote Access and is capped at 300 users.
- Platform adds Cloud LDAP, Cloud RADIUS and Remote Access.
- Platform Prime adds Conditional Access, Access Requests, Asset Management, the four SaaS management features (SaaS Discovery, SaaS License Management, SaaS Access Control, SaaS Insights) and premium support.
All three include Agentic IAM Lifecycle Management, a feature JumpCloud does not sell on its own.
Why do some sites quote $19 or more for Platform?
Because JumpCloud does not publish a Platform price, and the numbers you read elsewhere are estimates. AccessOwl's guide states that Platform "costs $19 per user per month" and gives a "Core directory" tier at $13. Checkthat.ai relays a Vendr figure of "around $15.84/user/month at list".
None of these figures appears on jumpcloud.com. There, Platform Essentials, Platform and Platform Prime all show "Contact Sales", and Cloud Directory is a $3 à la carte feature, not a $13 tier. Treat any Platform number as one company's negotiated deal, not as a list price.
Is JumpCloud free for 10 users?
Only for older accounts. JumpCloud's purchase FAQ states that "customers who signed up for a JumpCloud account prior to February 1, 2024 can still use JumpCloud for free with up to 10 users and 10 devices", with 24/7 premium support for the first 10 days and Remote Assist free for unlimited devices. Every account created since then starts with a 30-day free trial, and the pricing page lists no free plan at all.
The confusion comes from sources that disagree with each other, and sometimes with themselves.
| Source | What it says | Matches JumpCloud's own FAQ? |
|---|---|---|
| JumpCloud purchase FAQ | Free up to 10 users and 10 devices for accounts created before February 1, 2024; 30-day trial for everyone else | Reference |
| JumpCloud pricing page | No free plan listed; "Start a 30-day trial" | Yes |
| Siit review (facts verified August 2026) | The legacy free tier "applied only to accounts created before February 1, 2024" | Yes |
| SuperOps guide (updated 31 August 2026) | Body: "There is no JumpCloud free plan". Its FAQ markup: "a free tier for up to 10 users" | Contradicts itself |
| Checkthat.ai (updated 30 March 2026) | "The free tier was eliminated on July 1, 2025" | Date not stated anywhere on jumpcloud.com |
Legacy users should still be careful. A thread on r/JumpCloud is titled "JumpCloud cancelling grandfathered free plans", and one on r/msp reads "JumpCloud no longer free under 10 users". JumpCloud's FAQ is undated, so if your company still runs on a free account, check the billing page of your admin console before planning 2027 around it.
What happens after the 30-day trial?
According to JumpCloud's pricing FAQ, the trial opens the full platform "with zero restrictions" and includes 24/7 premium support. At day 30, you convert through the console checkout or ask sales to extend the trial. Existing paying customers can also run separate feature trials to test one capability before adding it.
What does JumpCloud really cost per user?
For a company that wants both app sign-on and device management from the public price list, $20 per user per month on annual billing, or $22 with premium support. That is more than double the $9 headline price, because JumpCloud's self-serve products split apps and devices.
Why is the $9 entry price rarely what you pay?
The $9 Device Management product manages laptops and phones, but it includes no cloud directory, no SSO and no MFA for users. The $11 SSO product covers identities and app access, but no device management. Device Identity Management at $13 adds identity and MFA for devices, still without SSO to your SaaS apps. The only bundles that cover both sides, Platform Essentials and above, have no public price.
The self-serve products are still good value compared with buying features one by one. Corma summed the à la carte prices of the features each product includes:
| Product | Product price | Features included | Same features à la carte | Saving |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SSO | $11 | 6: cloud directory, MFA, SSO, user lifecycle, password management, directory insights | $18 | 39% |
| Device Management | $9 | 7: MDM, system insights, patch management, remote access, external identity federation, plus 2 features without an à la carte price | $17 for the 5 priced features | At least 47% |
| Device Identity Management | $13 | 10: the device features plus cloud directory, MFA and identity management for devices | $27 for the 8 priced features | At least 52% |
Source: Corma calculation from the feature matrix on jumpcloud.com/pricing, 29 September 2026. Prices per user per month.
À la carte pricing, from $3 to $5 per user per month on annual billing, makes sense to fill one gap, such as Cloud RADIUS for Wi-Fi authentication at $3. It is the most expensive way to build a full stack.
Should you pay monthly or annually?
Annual billing is 13% to 18% cheaper: $9 instead of $11 for Device Management (18%), $11 instead of $13 for SSO (15%) and $13 instead of $15 for Device Identity Management (13%). The trade-off is commitment. JumpCloud's purchase FAQ states that users above your annual commitment are charged as overage "at the rate of your annual package", and an annual order is owed for its full term.
| Users | Annual billing ($20) | Annual + premium support ($22) | Monthly billing ($24) | Monthly + premium support ($27) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25 | $6,000 | $6,600 | $7,200 | $8,100 |
| 50 | $12,000 | $13,200 | $14,400 | $16,200 |
| 100 | $24,000 | $26,400 | $28,800 | $32,400 |
| 250 | $60,000 | $66,000 | $72,000 | $81,000 |

Which billing rules push the invoice up?
Three rules written in JumpCloud's own FAQs add seats that most budgets miss: suspended users are billable, billing follows each month's peak, and prices exclude VAT. Renewal terms and exit terms matter too.
Do suspended users still count?
Yes. JumpCloud's pricing FAQ answers: "Suspended users are retained in the system during the time they are suspended and are billed as normal users." A team that suspends leavers instead of deleting them, often to keep an audit trail, pays a full seat for every former employee. A thread on r/JumpCloud titled "Jumpcloud licensing" ends with the same advice: "ensure any inactive employees that should not be in JumpCloud are deleted." Tying deletion to the HR exit date is the fix, which is what tools that automate offboarding from the HR system do.
How does high-water mark billing work?
JumpCloud's purchase FAQ explains that it "bills on the high-water mark for the month", defined as "the greatest total number of users or devices on the JumpCloud platform at any point in that month". Ten contractors added for one week in March are billed as ten seats for all of March. Invoicing is only available above $2,000 per month; smaller accounts pay by card or ACH on the 1st of each month for the month just used.
What do customers say about price increases?
JumpCloud publishes no renewal policy, so reviews are the best signal. On Capterra, reviewers write that "the price has been increasing day by day, which impacts our budget planning" and that "the cost structure makes it challenging to scale as we grow". On G2, one notes that "pricing can also increase quickly as more features are added". Siit reports renewal increases of roughly 10% while stating that JumpCloud does not publish this figure. The practical answer is to ask for a written renewal cap before you sign.
What changes for buyers in the EU?
- VAT. JumpCloud's pricing FAQ states: "JumpCloud is not a VAT registered entity. Prices shown are exclusive of VAT." For services bought from a supplier outside the EU, the European Commission's Your Europe portal says a business "should usually pay VAT at the applicable rate in your country" through the reverse charge procedure. That VAT is recoverable for most businesses, but it becomes a real cost for organisations that cannot deduct VAT in full.
- Data location. JumpCloud launched an EU data center on July 24, 2025. Accounts created after that date can choose EU storage; existing customers are not being migrated.
- Exit terms. JumpCloud's terms of service (last updated June 12, 2026) cover customers with a statutory right to switch provider, "e.g., under the EU Data Act": two months' written notice and no switching fees, but "There is no right to any refund". Leaving in month 6 of a two-year order still means paying for year two, so match the commitment length to how sure you are.
What does JumpCloud's price list not cover?
Governance of the applications behind the directory. JumpCloud's pricing page lists no access review or access certification feature in any package. SaaS Discovery, SaaS Access Control and SaaS Insights come only with Platform Prime, a quote-only package. SaaS License Management and Access Requests can also be bought à la carte ($3 and $5 per user per month on annual billing).
An access review is a periodic check, by a manager or an application owner, that each person still needs the access they hold. For compliance, ISO 27001 and SOC 2 audits typically ask for evidence that it happens, and the workload grows with every app. Héloïse Rozès, CEO and co-founder of Corma, put numbers on it in a 2025 interview with SDBR News (translated from French): "it takes an IT director 400 hours to manually review all the access of 500 applications", a review repeated "every four months".
"They have increased the level of these norms for access reviews, and it's really a pain point for midsize market companies [...] as regulations increase, the IT teams do not really increase in number or budget."
That is how Héloïse Rozès described the pressure to Revenue Brew in December 2025. Nikolai Fomm, COO and co-founder of Corma, reaches a similar conclusion about JumpCloud itself in Corma's review of IAM tools for mid-size companies (June 2026): "identity governance and access certification features are less mature than dedicated IGA platforms".
A directory also governs only the apps connected to it through SSO or SCIM. Tools bought on a company card outside SSO keep their own accounts, and their licenses keep renewing whether anyone logs in or not. Finding them is the job of a SaaS management platform, not of the directory.
If JumpCloud already works as your directory, you do not need to replace it to close this gap. You can connect JumpCloud to Corma and review access across every app from there.
How does Corma work alongside JumpCloud?
Corma is a European SaaS management and identity governance platform that connects to JumpCloud as the identity provider instead of replacing it. JumpCloud keeps the directory, SSO and devices; Corma adds the governance layer above them.
- Since November 2025, the JumpCloud integration lets teams "automate user provisioning and deprovisioning, retrieve user lists and monitor their last activity, and review permissions and roles - all from Corma" (Corma changelog, 10 November 2025).
- Since June 2026, admins can "suspend users directly from Corma when offboarding or changing roles" (Corma changelog, June 2026).
- Automated access reviews run on the identities JumpCloud already holds, with audit-ready reporting.
- EU data residency on every Corma plan, and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification.
| Need | JumpCloud | Corma on top of JumpCloud |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud directory, SSO, MFA | SSO product ($11) or packages | Uses JumpCloud as the source of identities |
| Device management and patching | Device Management ($9) or packages | Not covered, stays in JumpCloud |
| Access reviews | Not listed in any package | Automated access reviews (Pro plan) |
| SaaS discovery, including apps outside SSO | Platform Prime only | Shadow IT detection and browser extension |
| Unused licenses and SaaS spend | SaaS License Management ($3) or Platform Prime | Discover and cut unused licenses, on every plan |
| Offboarding apps outside SSO | User lifecycle for connected apps | Provisioning and deprovisioning through APIs and browser agents |
| Data location | EU data center for accounts created after July 24, 2025 | EU data residency on every plan |
"For midsize market companies, it doesn't make sense to have two different tools to provide governance of your software," Héloïse Rozès told Revenue Brew in December 2025. The result shows in small teams too. At Yoti, a 30-person e-commerce company running more than 40 software assets, founder Vincent Corrèges reports: "We gain between 20% and 30% of the time spend in on- off-boardings since we have Corma." The company also cut its annual SaaS spend by 8% by removing unused licenses and duplicate subscriptions (Yoti customer story).
For teams watching the budget, Corma's pricing starts with a Freemium plan (unlimited users, up to 10 apps, identity provider connection), then an Essential plan from €3 per user per month on annual engagement. Access reviews and automated provisioning sit in the Pro plan, detailed on the identity governance platform page.
How should you budget JumpCloud for 2027?
Start from the number of billable users, not from the headline price. Six steps cover it:
- Count billable users, including suspended accounts, and note your busiest month, since JumpCloud bills the monthly peak.
- Pick products by need: SSO at $11, devices at $9 or $13, both at $20 on annual billing. Under 300 users, ask for a Platform Essentials quote to compare.
- Choose the billing period: annual saves 13% to 18%, monthly keeps the exit cheap.
- Add premium support ($2 per user per month on annual billing) if nobody on your team can cover incidents around the clock.
- Ask for a written renewal cap, because JumpCloud publishes no renewal policy.
- Budget governance separately: access reviews and SaaS license control are not in the self-serve products.
For 50 users on annual billing with premium support, that is $13,200 a year before VAT and before any governance layer. To see what access reviews and license control look like on your own JumpCloud tenant, book a demo.
Frequently asked questions
What is the purpose of JumpCloud?
JumpCloud is a cloud directory platform that manages user identities, single sign-on, multi-factor authentication and Windows, macOS and Linux devices from one console. Companies use it as their identity provider alongside Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, often to replace or extend an on-premises Active Directory.
How much does JumpCloud cost per user per month?
JumpCloud costs $9 per user per month for Device Management, $11 for SSO and $13 for Device Identity Management on annual billing, or $11, $13 and $15 on monthly billing. Individual features cost $3 to $5 per user per month, and premium support adds $2.
Does JumpCloud offer a free trial?
Yes. JumpCloud offers a 30-day free trial of the full platform, with 24/7 premium support during the trial. After 30 days, the account converts to a paid plan or sales can extend the trial. Only accounts created before February 1, 2024 are described by JumpCloud as free for up to 10 users and 10 devices.
Can you buy JumpCloud features à la carte?
Yes. JumpCloud sells 19 features individually, from $3 to $5 per user per month on annual billing, such as Cloud RADIUS at $3 or passwordless authentication at $5. SaaS Discovery, SaaS Access Control and Agentic IAM Lifecycle Management are only sold inside packages.
Does JumpCloud offer MSP, education or nonprofit pricing?
Yes, but not publicly. JumpCloud offers exclusive pricing to MSPs and channel partners in its partner program, and special pricing for educational institutions and nonprofits. All three go through a contact form rather than a public price list.
What are the best JumpCloud alternatives?
The right alternative depends on what you want to replace. Okta and Microsoft Entra ID are common choices for identity, Jamf or Kandji for Apple devices, and Rippling for teams that want HR and IT in one tool. If JumpCloud works as a directory and the gap is governance, Corma adds access reviews and license control on top of it. Our comparison of JumpCloud alternatives goes through each option.
